30 Sep White Water Rafting with E&A
“Are we gonna do THAT?” That’s what our E&A members said once they came face to face with The Ocoee River Adventure for the first time. September was the perfect time to raft The Ocoee!
The Ocoee River is a whitewater gem located in southeast Tennessee loaded with Class III and IV whitewater. Our trip started with a little rapid called Grumpy’s that encouraged us to paddle together with our E&A boat mates. We then enjoyed the eye opening ledges of Broken Nose, the rolling waves of Slice and Dice and a fun little hole called Second Helping. After that, our guide let us in on a good Indian story around Moonshoot and the drops at Double Suck woke us up and prepared us for our photo opportunity at the infamous Double Trouble. These three standing waves had us shrieking with delight, for sure!
We traversed through countless drops of waves before we were home free.
Once our 5-mile adventure was over, which took about 3 hours, we changed into dry clothes and viewed our pictures to see how crazy we looked out there.
It was truly a unique experience that we will not forget!
