19 Jun E&A Goes to The Awesome Lazy River!!!

E&A had an awesome adventure this past weekend! We all carpooled over to Shepherdsville, Kentucky (about 2.5 hours from Nashville) to cool off in Kentucky’s natural lazy river, appropriately named Awesome Lazy River, because it is exactly that – awesome.

Once we arrived at their parking lot, we chose the rafts we wanted and took our time loading up and entering the lazy river. They offer single tubes for $15, double tubes for $30 and cooler floats for $5. Their customer service is top-notch, so if you have any questions, just ask!

The float takes about two hours, and we allowed ourselves to float at a leisurely pace. Keep in mind, nature dictates the current and conditions of the river, but two hours is an accurate time frame to expect. Once we got to the end of the route, we boarded a bus that took us back to the parking lot where our cars were.

We stopped along the float route to rope swing! It was pretty cool! We also swam around a bit.

The Awesome Lazy River can accommodate large groups – we had about 35 people with us! They are open Saturdays and Sundays now through Labor Day weekend, from 10am to 5pm. The Awesome Lazy River is located at 165 Dawson Dr. Shepherdsville, Kentucky and is ready and waiting for you to come visit! Take our word for it – it is an awesome time!!!

E&A Goes to Brand New Madame Tussauds Nashville!

Things got waxy this week as we headed over to the recently opened Madame Tussauds Nashville! If you don’t know, Madame Tussauds Nashville is a wax museum of celebrities at Opry Mills.

We rubbed shoulders with all the stars, including Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan (who we recently saw in concert at Bridgestone Arena!), Keith Urban and many more!

There are many things to see here, including a recording studio that makes you step back in time to the mid-1950’s where you can practically feel the music being made. There is even an Opry stage, where you can relive an era where Opry legends were born.

After we strolled through the wax museum (took us about an hour), we tried out the new Bavarian Bierhaus. Their food is quite tasty and their “bier” list is extensive. Our group had a blast here!

26 Apr Spring Fling! Speed Mingle

Ever tried speed dating? Basically, you show up to a room full of strangers and have a few minutes or so to meet and chat with a person and then move on to the next. Afterwards, you find out if anyone you met matched up with you and then you have the option to continue getting to know them.

At E&A, we have taken the Speed Dating concept to a new level, without any of the pressure! On Monday night, we had our Spring Fling! Speed Mingle – think speed dating, but in a group setting. We create the questions and the goal is to answer as many as you can with your group in less than 10 minutes. At the end of each round,you move to a different table to meet new people. This is the best way to get to know 60 or so singles in a short amount of time!

We also do giveaways in between each round, so you can win some awesome prizes!

After speed mingle, we encourage everyone to stay and continue to engage with other members. Speed Mingle allows you to make new friends, share some laughs and maybe even meet someone special!
